A proud Memphis native, Janeen Gordon’s life and career have been shaped by her deep love for family, community, and service. The daughter of trailblazing radio personality and public servant Janis Fullilove, the first elected African American Juvenile Court Clerk in Memphis & Shelby County, Janeen grew up understanding the power of using one’s voice to uplift others.
For over three decades, Janeen brought that spirit to the media industry as a trusted radio personality, news anchor, and lifestyle show host. Whether delivering traffic updates, hosting Bluff City Life on WMC-TV, or connecting with listeners on 103.5 WRBO’s Love Songs and the Mike Evans Morning Show, she combined warmth, professionalism, and a genuine desire to inform and engage her community. Her education at the University of Memphis and hands-on experience made her a skilled communicator, adept at listening, storytelling, and connecting with diverse audiences.
Beyond the microphone and camera, Janeen is a woman of many passions: an avid traveler, food enthusiast, and even a bass fishing aficionado, along with her father, Emory Gordon Jr. Her resilience shines brightest in her commitment to women’s health. After facing personal health challenges, she emerged with a renewed focus on wellness, advocating for preventive care, healthier living, and the importance of self-advocacy.
In 2022, Janeen answered a calling to serve in a new way, following in her mother’s footsteps as the second African American woman elected Juvenile Court Clerk in Memphis & Shelby County. Today, she brings the same dedication, strategic thinking, and heart to this role, ensuring that families and youth receive compassionate, excellent, and efficient service.
With a servant’s heart and a gift for communication, Clerk Janeen Gordon continues to inform, ignite, and inspire – honoring her roots while shaping a brighter future.
